A SIMPLE FRIEND

A simple friend has never seen you cry.
A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.

A simple friend doesn't know your parents first names.
A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.

A simple friend hates it when you call after he has gone to bed.
A real friend asks you why it took you so long to call.

A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems.
A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.

A simple friend wonders about your romantic history.
A real friend could blackmail you with it.

A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest.
A real friend opens the refrigerator and helps himself.

A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A real friend knows that it's not a friendship until after you've had fight

A True Friend

A true friend is always there for you
no matter what is going on they are always get there 1st
they care about what goes on in your life
they are always there for you even if you lie or hurt them
a true friend doesn't mind talking all night
ven when they have to get up early
a true friend tells you what the right thing to do is
they are like your family not like your friends
your friends come and go
however it may seem as if they will be with you forever
but only true friends stay with you through the good and bad
you can tell secrets to a true friend and know people will not find out there are so many things what a true friend does
these are just some out of lots that a true friend is
so is your best friend a friend or a true friend?

Just felt to make a poem about what true friends are and what they should do. Big thanks for Heather Hall for always being there for me for 7 years now, and doing what true friends do. <3 12-28-09

Friends are for Nothing

Hey friend?
Yes friend?
I’ve been meaning to say friend.
What is it friend?
Friend, I’ve been doing a lot of nothing.
Yea, that’s what I’ve been doing too.
It’s so useless friend, the whole time I do nothing.
I just think about what I could do, friend.
Yea I think about who I should be with, friend.
Maybe…
What is it friend?
Maybe we should do nothing together, friend.
Yeah, that actually makes nothing sound like fun.
I feel the same way, friend.
Hey friend?
Yea friend?
Thanks friend.
