  1.

My Dreams Are the Sun

See that golden hue
Burning in the west
My dreams are with that color
My dreams are the sun
The sun always sets
But never seems to rise
That sun carries my dreams
Slowly out of my reach
I watch it slide away
Leaving me behind
The color disappears
My dreams are with that sun
Whenever the sun sets
It rises in another place
A place blessed by that light
My dreams are hidden in that light
At my window seat
I watch the sun take it all away
My dreams are with the sun
My dreams are the sun

All Actions Done In Vain

His face was shattered
Like a window pane
Broken and split
Now dead with no shame
Murdered by those
Who were his pursued
He died in vain
And his soul he did lose
The other was dying
His face strained and blue
Begging for air
His fate they all knew
From his mouth spilled blood
And his eyes held fear
There was nothing in life
For him to hold dear
Two others awaited
The death that would come
Feigning strength in the dark
Their hearts empty and numb
Now in their last minutes
All tried to survive
Though never forgotten
Each one of them died

bBarely Alive/b

I’m barely alive
I’m barely breathing
I forget how to speak
And now I’m not seeing
Was this a mistake?
Who’s fault is it now?
I’m no longer standing
Because I forget how

Is this moment
The time we’ve all been
Speaking of
Is this the feeling
We’ve heard so much about
Why can’t I
Think clearly
Who will break my fall

I have no control
I’m walking blind
Tears wet on my face
I want to leave this behind
Why can’t I understand?
What is this all about?
I’m running out of ways
To turn inside-out

Is this the memory
I want to carry all my life
Feeling this
Yet so numb am I
I’ve heard so much about
Absolutely nothing
Now it’s here
I’m left unprepared

Desperate hearts bleeding
Speechless voices screaming
Broken bones moving
Yet I am no longer alive

I’m barely alive
I’m barely breathing
I forget how to speak
But now that’s not needed

  4.

Below the Boundaries

And the lights spin in front of my eyes.
Nothing is really clear.
Every sound is now inaudible
Yet every sound I hold dear
Running through the maze of life
The sun has turned to black
The sky is no longer my safe haven
Now all my thoughts turn back
Uneven lines and bumpy roads
Misconceptions fill this world
My mind works quickly with this air
Eyes no longer see the cold
the stars burst
the light vanishes
I feel warmth
and I smile, content at last
