My Dreams Are The Sun

See that golden hue
Burning in the west
My dreams are with that color
My dreams are the sun
The sun always sets
But never seems to rise
That sun carries my dreams
Slowly out of my reach
I watch it slide away
Leaving me behind
The color disappears
My dreams are with that sun
Whenever the sun sets
It rises in another place
A place blessed by that light
My dreams are hidden in that light
At my window seat
I watch the sun take it all away
My dreams are with the sun
My dreams are the sun

Find Me At The Edge

You will find me at the edge
Of the water
Where the sand and deep
Ocean meet
Here they collide
But never subside
And so goes their life
For all eternity
And the sky watches in awe
Jealous of the way the ocean
Can move about
But the ocean looks up
At the beautiful sky
And is grateful for
The sight it provides
Though now paralyzed
I close my eyes
And beg for hope

Here in the midst of vast skies
I dream of life
Here in my dreams so diverse
I lie to myself
So far away
I escape this day
And all my thoughts I lay
Here on the ground
That these stars shine upon
In a time where it mattered
When the stars came alive
And the moon shone bright
With the chorus of galaxies
Backing them up
Now they’re betrayed
As this sky starts to fade
And so they are paid
What they never deserved
All this I know
Come rescue me
While my thoughts are still free
And all I can see
Is this sky
That comes to life
Through sorrow and strife
Though sharp as a knife
I am comforted

You will find me at the edge
Of the water
Where the sand and deep
Ocean meet
Here I will be

Lost In The Night

Here we are
Lying in the midst of our discomfort
Hand in hand
We may still have a chance to survive
And I am
Incapable of breathing in this air
Nothing here
To hold against my heart and cherish
This lonely sky
So vast and sorrowful in its beauty
I lose myself
In the dark mysteries of the night
A shallow lust
For this darkness that harbors deep intensity
Tugs at my soul
And opens up a door for deeper dreams
Time passes quickly
I watch the sun begin to rise
And in its glory
I see colors that will forever stay unnamed
I’ve been here before
But always seem to forget this lonely truth
I lay my head back down
And wait for the peaceful night to return

Bsimply Burning/B

And tell me why
They hide their pain
Behind their quiet eyes
When all we want to do
Is hold fast to what we know
And dare to not let go
To envision what we dream
And forget how to scream

Because burning
Is harder than it looks
And agony
Is too commonplace for them
So why
Why do we even try?
When all they want to do,
Is die

Pounding through their veins
I know, I understand their pain
The dark corner
Of bitter ends and truth
They’ll always hide
Yet are so afraid to lose
What they have never gained
Leaving them, all understandably, sane

Get down
You have to meet at eyelevel
Because all around
The voices are pressing hard
…
And burning,
Is harder then it looks
