My Dreams Are the Sun

See that golden hue
Burning in the west
My dreams are with that color
My dreams are the sun
The sun always sets
But never seems to rise
That sun carries my dreams
Slowly out of my reach
I watch it slide away
Leaving me behind
The color disappears
My dreams are with that sun
Whenever the sun sets
It rises in another place
A place blessed by that light
My dreams are hidden in that light
At my window seat
I watch the sun take it all away
My dreams are with the sun
My dreams are the sun

font color='red'Blood Red font color='black' (Return To Me)

Come alive
Allow me to believe
Watch the clouds
As they begin to seethe
With blood red rain
No breath
All lost here and
Drowning in fire
In this land
I’ll bury my heart
Under the sand
Return to me

Burn the banners
Dim the lights
No one will sleep tonight
Blame the one who casts
Only a shadow
Hide away
You hide away

Swallow it down
Curse the night sky
You taught me to run
I taught you to lie
With hesitant shame
No clarity
All secrets nonexistent
On white walls burned
In this land
I’ll bury my heart
Under the sand
Return to me

Burn the banners
Dim the lights
No one will sleep tonight
Blame the one who casts
Only a shadow
Hide away
You hide away

Shimmering tears
Unfaltering fears
Blood red - blood red
Red hearts buried under
What’s left of the broken plunder
Blood red - blood red
My heart’s unfound
Return to me

iWho Are the Afflicted? /i

What causes more pain?
They ask nonchalantly
Not knowing who’s sane.
I say with regret
What’s worse than living?
They ask unaware
Alive but not breathing.
I cringe as I speak
Does it kill us all?
They ask with no interest
If the broken all fall.
I say with no pride
What hurts worse then tears?
They ask with sarcasm
Holding tight all your fears.
I say with closed eyes
Who’s the exaggerator?
They ask with no feeling.
The pained crying slayer.
I say with a tear.
Then who are the afflicted?
They ask with true caution
Those who know much.
I speak no more words

Memoirs of The Insignificant

Painted on like a diagram
Of failures
The flames lick the pages
Worry the heart and
I’m falling back
Into another frame of mind
Five, count them five
We’ll leave them behind
Put on the black coat
Blend with the shadows
Drowning in this rain
Reality: all alone

Far in the back part
Of my beaten mind
I see the pieces
Of what I’ll never find
Never find here…

Candle wax dripping on a stone
Cold floor
The light casting shadows
Forget the sun and
I’m falling back
Into another frame of time
Never climb high
We fell long ago
Hide under the scars
Lost in the dark sky
Poison lightening strikes
Reality: no love

Far in the back part
Of my beaten mind
I see the pieces
Of what I’ll never find
Never find here…

How can you
Stand there
Watching
Watching death take place
See the scars
On our hearts
They’ve been there
For ages
Love me
Love me
Love me
There are no
Bittersweet tears
