Dear Child
Child of grace, so fair of face
You are the one, you bring the sun.
No other love could e'er take your place
The love in my heart I cannot erase
I need you to stay for the rest of my days
'Dear child of grace'.

Dear Christmas
Forty words:
During celebrations of December
Thoughts of the Holy Birth abide.
Hours of wonderment and splendour
Fill believers with pride.
'Gentle Jesus born of Mary'
Sets visions aglow in our eyes,
Faithful hearts at Church assemble
Beautiful Carols reaching the skies.

Dear Friend
In need of unusual wording am I
To begin a poetical tale.
Maybe on history ~ maybe romance
Worldly subjects that never fail.
My writing skill is slightly outdated
Genius doesn't stretch too far!
But if I have no title by midnight
I'm away for a ride in my car...
Not forgetting my notebook and pen
Inspiration may come from the Galaxy
My friend. The Sirius or Polaris star.

Dear Hampshire
Forty words:
I see those harbour lights
inviting me back once more
to gaze upon the dizzy heights
beyond Lymington shore.
Old school friends smile,
remembering me still...
Life was sweet on the
cobbled street in the
county where Jack met Jill.
