Overcome

Forty words - He to She:
(Style of Thomas Hardy)

Your beauty is supreme,
leaving me wondering:
Is this all a dream?

Your glow is like the Venus star
'oh moon of love' is what you are.
Your soul, a crown ~ a diadem,
and I... the proudest of all men.

Overtures Float On The Air

Forty words:

Unknown quarries across the sea

Highlands afar call to me.

Carnarvon Range ~ Great Divide

Kentucky Blue Grass ~ Mammoth Pride.

Shamrock sparkles on Galway Bay

Sunshine brings her golden ray

Songbirds sing in every tree:

'Let Me Hide Myself In Thee'.

'Oxfam', The Ever Open Door.

Catering for the poor and weak
All in the name of Charity Street,
Stands a shop where true hearts meet
Where volunteers make lives complete.
Customers buy - to help the needy
Those, who for themselves can't speak.
Who are sleeping rough in the windy city
Enduring winter snow and sleet.

So friends with time to spare, come forth!
Your help is valuable, south to north.
Do claim expenses ~ but sorry 'no pay'
Shop hours are from Monday to Saturday.
Join the charity, helping the poor...
Walk through that ever-open door.
And you will wear a constant smile
Because your living will be worthwhile.

Painful Thoughts

*We will meet again*
Unhappiness, with crying eyes
now the mournful days have started
having given 'all' to his Love
and now she has gone, he's brokenhearted.
Painful thoughts bring sleepless nights
pensive tears are streaming.
In love so deeply, but now so blue
nostalgic dreams he is dreaming.
Each cherished friend can understand
sympathetic words they send
saying 'Heaven waiteth at the end'
*We will meet again*
