Reciprocated Love

Oh, the young love of long ago,
Spring came suddenly one year
When feelings of such excitement
Intensified a dream so dear.

The panorama across the landscape
Reminds me of love's sweet bliss.
I reminisce about the day we met.
How could I forget your kiss.

With togetherness, truth and sincerity
No wonder the 'scene was set'
I now rehearse my poetical verse
On 'Joyous Love' ~ with no regret.

'Recycling' The World

'Climatic' Change is coming true
A brand new world
Can you sense it too?
I feel a warmer breeze
Healthier for the birds and bees.
All nature is of fairer hue
Recycling... enhancing the view.

'Climatic' change is coming true
The Clean Air Act
With 'extras' too!
Yesterday's dreams...meant to be.
A world of roses and glistening sea
And as I walk in pastures new
My heart is calling to you.

Red Flag Ideas

A little state control is called for
on a temporary basis - maybe!
nationalization could be the answer
to this downward trend in our economy.
Our way of living is rapidly changing
partly because of computer technology,
not relevant in the Great Depression.
Looking back to the thirties for a clue
Is not a reliable thing to do...we can
see at a glance, now is the chance
to consider post-war ideas, updating
them, in a world all fresh and new.

Rehearsing In Her Sleep

Forty word poem.

'Oh my hero potentate,
Your manly heart,
I hope to win it.
How long must I wait?
My yearning is no gimmick!
This love song is for you
With faithfulness I sing it.
Doubtful fantasies delete,
Romancing is so sweet.'

August 2008
