Non-Flammable
Meet a man with strength of will
With a mind of his very own.
No sweet charmer could ever alter
The bachelorhood he has known.
Female flattery he ignores,
Emotion could change his mind.
Still non-flammable is he
Teenage dreams all left behind.
A man of high reputation...
Correctness he always will condone.
Living quite close to a partner
The seed of friendship sewn.
Overcoming all temptation,
He dwells on happiness mile
And still non-flammable is he
Travelling the highway in style.

Non-flammable is He

The bachelorhood he has known.
So female flattery he ignores
Emotion could change his mind.
Still non-flammable is he

And still non-flammable is he

Nostalgia
You can never return
to the way you once were
in the beautiful summers gone by,
when your heart missed a beat
at the sight of his youthfulness
and sparkle of joy in his eye.
You cannot re-live delight at
the Altar, when happiness shone
everywhere; the church organ
played as you walked up the aisle
and confetti covered your hair.
You may recall a baby's first cry
or the quaint cottage by the sea-shore
where you were surrounded by
roses, but the cottage is demolished
for sure!
Seldom will you say hello to the
'dear folk at home' - for they have
gone faraway. It is all a daydream
a nostaglic daydream of the sweet
life of yesterday.

Nostalgic Fairy Tale
I peeped through heaven's door to see
If 'yesteryear' would smile on me
But love was only history
And my heart was filled with sorrow.
'Yesteryear' seemed not to care
There could be no romance to share
All I could do was say a prayer
And wait until tomorrow.
