  1613.

The Gardener Dances

The gardener dances around the borders
with a caring heart and a song to sing
his mind absorbed with each floral ring...
daffodils of gold, as Wordsworth told
and all the beauty that blooms in the spring:
bright sunny weather and colourful heather,
enchantment is there in each jardiniere.
No wonder his happy heart sings as he
admires the radiance that plant life brings.

The Glow Of Spring

Your fever is not from Infection
Thankfully, it's Cupid's intention.
The first kiss of Spring is the reason
Romance is the theme of the season.
With blue eyes all aglow
Excitement will flow...
Music may descend from above,
So treasure that first 'flush' of love.

The Godly Way

Forty words:

We are the children of the Master

He has all-power, we follow after.

God is the Judge, He tells us when

The war of a lifetime will end.

He brings about the Armistice

Peace in a world of happiness.

The Golden Book

Sweet words in print bring a memory
of the poetical Golden Treasury
where wise men wrote their rhyming verse
with quality, faith and integrity.
A walk by the river ~ in cool of the breeze
or shedding a tear at the cemetery...
sad stories told all, some great some small
plus outstanding events of the century.

Laureates wrote of weddings in June
pretty the bride ~ handsome the groom.
Every line is history remembered
touching the heart, and set to a tune.
A kiss uninvited, love unrequited,
infidelity that knew no bound.
Love's dying ember; it's there in September
in the Golden Treasury of renown.
