In The Wilderness Of Uncertainty
If I had a singular point to make,
From this one soul...
Coming face to face,
With a host of nameless expressions.
I would wish to appear fearless.
Travel as I wonder,
Which door to pick for a short visit.
Would I be embraced...
When my deepest thoughts are revealed,
Comfortably enough to retrace steps I've taken.
If I had a singular desire,
To inspire feelings of love...
I wish to share.
Would I recognize a caring there...
Communicating hope and faith.
And would that singular point I made,
Be accepted as an invitation...
To explore a togetherness,
In the wilderness of uncertainty...
Two free of doubt can journey.
Or will I be asked to leave,
To inspire no one to come with me...
In a search to uncover unconditional love.
Unrestricted...
By a consciousness confined to limits.

In Their Best Performances
The only way there is,
To defend against those...
Who show they can be treacherous,
Is to pretend you have been...
A willing victim of it.
Since those who 'are' treacherous,
Often seek the ones appearing to be dumb...
Ignorant and innocent of what's going on!
And eventually expose themselves,
To others they teach...
How to observe their doings,
While delivering this in their best performances.

In Their Birthday Suits
Cuckoo a silly bird,
Heard at early dawning.
Shakens those awake,
With a yawning that they make.
And...
Sunrise begins to lift,
Up on the horizon.
People rub their eyes,
To begin their routined lives.
In their birthday suits,
Some wish they could wear all day.
Naked like a rooster when the crowing gets done.
To do all their chores without impressing someone.
Trying not to duplicate what was worn yesterday.
In their birthday suits,
Some wish they could wear all day.
Lazy they are feeling,
With the expense to keep clothes clean.
Knowing where they work it seems...
The only purpose to show up is just to be seen.

In Their Eyes
My success has not achieved respect,
In their eyes.
And I laugh from mine.
With the knowledge...
It is me who has chosen to be in their presence.
And success?
That was delivered to me,
When at birth I was blessed...
To have this experience called life!
And what more of a success can one possess?
If anything can be done without life as it is known...
I haven't been shown.
As of yet.
And until that happens,
I'll do what God expects.
And that is to have no other gods before Him!
That is a 'memo' I understand clearly.
And that is a confession I will always profess.
